Legion of the Golden Flame
Wardens of Theria
Quote:Founding

Founded in 1683 AC with the rise of Seneca V Shar to a position as Warlord within Theria. Formed from the efforts of three people, Ashe Lieyan Grand-Flame of the Flame Keepers and Lira Eryni Speaker of the Auric.

Flame-Keepers

Originally founded in the wake of the Black-Knights death, by Ashe Lieyan and Andrew Mercia, the Flame Keepers sought to protect Esshar from demons, eventually becoming a pillar of community and culture in Osrona. As time progressed, the guild became more powerful, expanding their influence and focus, as such the primary belief shifted from protecting Esshar from demons to protecting Esshar from unnecessary war, violence, and chaos. It didn't take long for the Flame Keepers to be at odds with the Light's Order, the guild of peace-seekers finding some of the Order's adversaries to be important allies in the war against chaos. Eventually the decision from Ashe Lieyan was made to relocate to Theria, the guild losing membership and credibility, not only due to the move of location, but due to rumors and acquisitions of the Order. There the Flame Keepers would meet the Auric and Seneca, uniting together to form an order free from the Church and Order's oppressive ideals.

Auric

A part Mercenary group, part Adventurers League made up predominantly of Rhoynish, the Auric was founded in 1681 AC by the Rhoynish community in Theria, the core founding group being slaves liberated by Lira Eryni, Eryni herself, and the future Warlord Seneca. Drawn to the settlement by the promise of freedom from oppressive Essharan laws, the Rhoynish rallied around the promise of a community the Auric represented, and it soon showed its Mercenary nature when it marched on the Demon Tower after being hired to do so.

Place in Theria

With the founding of the Golden Flame came an influx of fresh blood into Theria those who saw a beacon of light held within the darkness and chaos at the height of the demon wars. The city swelled with Rhoyns freed from their masters within the other cities of Esshar, Drakanites of the Kingdom and from Sluthia congregated in search of a place for their worship and trade.

It wasn’t long before the Guild took on the mantle once upheld by the Black Order. Becoming the de-facto guardians of Theria. Serving as the bulwark of the cities defensive and law enforcement.  The Golden Flame was born of guilds focused on more than just the martial. The Flame Keepers legacy of serving as a pillar of the community and the Auric’s focus on gathering the scattered Rhoynish together remain. Evolved into a focus on providing a home for all those wayward outcasts of Esshar and beyond who seek to find a home.
