From the wiki

The people of Rhoynur are magically gifted hunters and raiders, who live for battle and the challenge of survival; they rarely stay in one place for long, moving on horseback and taking their camps with them. Just a few thousand of their people have been enough to tear through entire nations. They can be identified by their brilliant yellow eyes and strong, tall frames, but it varies from person to person. Their numbers are low, with a couple rarely able to produce more than a single child.

The tribe was originally loyal to the Empire of Barsburg, serving as an elite force within their ranks and enjoying the privileges that came with, but roughly a century ago they were exiled. The accounts of this exchange vary. A tale commonly passed down by the priestesses of Rhoynur is that there was a proposal to Natasa Dayndros, the High Lady of Rhoynur, by the Emperor himself, captivated by her beauty and strength. She refused him - unless he could defeat her in a public spectacle. The Emperor sent out his champions and beasts in the Colosseum with all watching, but one by one they were defeated by the golden-haired, yellow-eyed warrior, until it was just the feeble old man left. He was beaten black and blue.

Since then, they were travelling mercenaries. They were tasked to topple the Kingdom of Esshar, and succeeded in razing a number of towns and spreading panic throughout the country. The Lightbringer Ardes Grimmore was tasked with taking care of the threat, and he did so in brilliant fashion, outplaying and outmatching the raiders at every turn. They were systematically cut down and defeated, then enslaved, imprisoned, or executed.

Quote:Nephalem

Neither demon or human, half and half. Some say they are a purposeful mockery of humanity by an Abyssal Lord, while others claim a demon fell in love with a human. Regardless of the truth, they're despised by all of demonkind and their occult nature makes them a danger to humans.

Does this imply, should I become a sufficiently high rpl demon, that I can begin to lay some serious pipe?

Quote:Skill Tree

Depending on the drakanite's sub-race, they gain a 5RPP discount on the buy-in cost of their divine spirit's primary element.

...

[*]Asena (Summer)
[*]Saekanis (Winter)
[*]Ixchel (the Moon)
[*]Jiuweihu (the Sun)
[*]Leonaus (the Stars)

While logic states that a Drakanite can only sub-race a divine dragon, the wording implies divine spirit. If a Drakanite opts to choose their divine spirit to be, say, Saekanis, what discount do they receive?

Quote:Whether or not someone is capable of harnessing mana, they passively generate magical power as it is required to live. Certain magitech can even take a read on how much of this energy flows through a person, though it's purely a measure of their raw magical potency rather than their overall combat skill. There are five tiers that individuals might be placed under depending on this reading.
  • Basic: Minimum of 10 Magic Power.
  • Intermediate: Minimum of 50 Magic Power.
  • Master: Minimum of 100 Magic Power. Higher than 70% of Magi.
  • Exalted: Minimum of 300 Magic Power. Higher than 95% of Magi.
  • Mythic: Minimum of 1000 Magic Power. Among the millions that live in Esshar, there's rarely more than a hundred at a time within this tier.

Are these abstractions, or taken to be literal 'Power' values? If the latter, does it imply that growth has no softcap given that numbers above 300 are considered?

Sort of European-Greek, as far as Esshar goes, who originate and descend from Astya. In the current timeline you have the following name examples: Mikhail, Amalia, Ermis, Jorne, Nile, Ersen, Aris, and Sibylla. There's not a strict naming scheme but you can get an idea for it with that.

Demons cannot physically reproduce with humans, or if they can the odds of anything but a stillborn is very, very low. This is doubly true for 'spawn', who're kind of like a blend of short-lived PC and EC, which are going to make up the majority of the race when/if we introduce them.

The divine spirits of drakanites are the six dragons, and what that's describing is hereditary - as a drakanite or beastkin you don't 'pick' your divine spirit. Right now the only type of drakanite will be the standard ones/Ryujin descendants, although it's easy to add more & the old sub-types still exist.

Abstractions mostly. If you have an ability in a tier then your MP is higher than that number. There's no cap on it. Someone at mythic tier has ten times more magic power than someone at master tier, on average.

Regarding the custom designed, intermediate level signature thing. Is that something we can only do before the game comes out, or are we allowed to app for a custom thingy after the game comes out?

What is Magnolia like? Is it based on a historical counterpart? What are their naming schemes, I want to say french based on the name but I'm curious.

Who are the Essharians? Since Esshar is on Mu which was uninhabited until Malztiel brought the surviving Astyans. If there's a bit of mix up on the wiki and the Essharians where inhabiting the area already. Then what was their culture like before the Astyans came?

For crafting will you still be able to grow and cultivate most things needed for alchemy?

Will mobs still spawn in the wilds like they did in spires?

No historical counterpart or naming schemes. Character backstories should be based around Esshar rather than other countries that have purposely vague lore, and the human passives will be changed for release to be less hereditary and more physical based to reflect this, since I feel like it's misleading people into thinking there are three focus point countries rather than one.

'Essharian' refers to anyone that lives in Esshar:

'Mu' is the old, WIP continent name, which was changed to Aegis a while back, likely where you're confusion is stemming from. Fixed that!

The land was uninhibited until the survivors of Astya migrated over and founded the small, baby nation that over a millenia or so grew into what it is in the present day.

For crafting will you still be able to grow and cultivate most things needed for alchemy?
Yes, but property has designated farming land rather than being able to hoe grass anywhere...although I'm not too big of a fan of how 'static' the new system is and we'll likely work to improve it in the future, but it does the trick. Certain sought after herbs will no longer be growable to encourage exploration and not devalue them.

Will mobs still spawn in the wilds like they did in spires?
Yes! They should actually work, too...

Has anything significant been changed when it comes to crafting?
And

Will chickens still be a thing? Are there other livestock options and animal byproducts to use in recipes?

Answered earlier at crafting. It's something that was admittedly neglected and deserves TLC post-release.

Chicken coops will not be in initially since how the maps save was changed, and it needs to be adapted to the new system. One of the big priorities after release will be a barn tileset for the rework there (including other animal types), but that's future talk.
