The Serpent's Gaze Covenant

Since the start of Theria's founding, when it was merely a few knights and refugees, the honest working merchants and alchemists of Theria have needed protection. While many of the free men in the many companies of Theria have offered their services, one has done so since the founding of the city itself; The Serpent's Gaze. Primarily known for its Sand Magi and use of poisons within combat, the Gaze prides itself as a sort of defensive force for the city, a group of magi who seek the expansion, and safety, of the Free City.

Recently, the Gaze has let itself become under new leadership, one 'Mahraj "ven Serpente" taking the helm after the curious death of the last leader. Under his rule, Mahraj has pushed the boundaries of what the Gaze is after, creating a place primarily for Scouts and Guardsmen, letting Theria rest under the watchful eye of the other guilds while he, and the Gaze, move to operate behind the scenes.

It is for this reason that the Serpent's Gaze Covenant takes all sorts, so long as they prove themselves to be at the very least halfway competent. Primarily composed of many Rhoynish who fled to Theria after the Conquests, the Gaze aims itself to have a firm hold within the Council of Theria, offering those within its ranks a chance to matter when it comes to the day to day life of Theria, and the Council of Warriors. Any free man siding with Serpente exists and works not only to aid Theria, but to guide it towards its future.

The Serpents are primarily aimed to be a combination of city-defense and outwards offense, though primarily offers protection to the merchants and alchemists of Theria. It is a place for those who wish to see the Free City /stay/ a free city, and for those who wish to guide the future of the city itself.
