It's over.
I don't need this book anymore.
The past, is the past.
I've never felt better.

Rest easy, Grandma. Grandpa.
But most importantly.
Rest easy, me.

Fear is just a weapon.
It's what I'm good with.
I like how it felt, to inflict it on others.

Some innocent
Some less so.

I may have developed a vice or two.
Along the way.
Things that aren't so easily fed.
But that's okay. I'll figure it out.

Why am I writing in this.
When on the morrow
It'll be ash and soot in a fireplace.

One last bit of memorabilia.
A hint of that nostalgia.

You taught me to keep on keeping on.
When there's nothing left to return to
You can only move forward.
