>The system can't make you feel forced to do anything, that's completely up to you.
Congratulations, you've cracked the code. Using this infallible logic, no more people will ever be addicted to drugs, nobody will ever feel forced to drink, or anything like that! You did it!
The point is that it was CLEARLY being used to hit your check and then imemdiately afk. It didn't make it feel like a reward, it made you feel like you HAD to hit your check before X time, otherwise you were missing out. It turned this roleplaying game into a literal fucking job. Removing that and having it reward you for roleplaying is a much better incentive, an immediate gratification as opposed to "well, I get checked at 9 PM and it's 7 now, so if I redtext from now until then, I'll be able to get my check"...
As opposed to what is actually happening, now, where people RP, still to get their checks, but aren't actively plotting their RP schedules and scenes around it. Sure, maybe people are still getting their check and immediately resorting to shitpost/whitetext mode, but now it's not a literal timer that you're racing against in order to get your checks in. Now you can RP just to RP of your own volition and get them as you do it. Sure, people still game the system. But that's something we can never stop.
What we CAN stop is actually pushing the agenda that /rpp is a necessity to the game when, as COUNTLESS people have made it clear on these forums and in the discord since it's removal, that the gamestate feels better when you can just RP and worry about RPP as a secondary counter.
I'm sorry you disagree with me.
But it's not coming back.
