Thought is this: It would take much longer to shed Age DR, strong people would remain strong way longer without any age penalty and uhhhhh honk shoo....

I like the time passing as it does.

Eternia is a generational game. No one is intended to play the same character indefinitely, which is why sources of genuine immortality are incredibly difficult to achieve. You're meant to age up, grow old and pass the torch on to a new gen of characters.

Five day years are fine, that's six in-game years a month. If you spawn at 13, it'll take about four and a half months to hit forty.

That is plenty of time to play a character before it's time to step out of the spotlight.

most people are grown ups and have bills to pay and work 6 day jobs for 10 hours

6-7 won't hurt.

i work 30-40 hours a week and i am like 40 on my character now

age dr is fine u can still get restore vigor and wrap shit up in 1 year if you really have to. also if you're like older your RP doesn't stop especially if you are a mentor, or artificer/alchemist and most old characters are at least one of those things

6 days a year actually round up well too, you could technically consider 1 OOC day as 2 months for people who love to keep track of time passage.

add a leap year every four years that's one day shorter than the norm

I mean, aside from my shitpost suggestion of 365 days a year, I don't think the difference between 5 or 6, or even 7 days per year will change that. What it will do is give people more time to actually play their character during a given year because you'll have an entire week to work with. As it is the year being five days means the year end rotates around the week. 2040 AC ends this Saturday, then 2041 ends the following thursday. A 7 day year would mean the year would always end on a specific day of the week and that helps people plan. Consistency is important for working a hobby into your schedule.
