People would spam it after every single redtext, go "oh i haven't qualified yet" and keep RPing.. or they'd see that they've hit their check and go "ok haha time to stop rping". This is clearly not healthy in a roleplaying game, even moreso when you get the 'you can't gain any more RPP today!' notification. Obviously we don't expect people to just go hard and redtext walls time and time again for nothing, but all the command did was encourage people to stop RPing after being rewarded.
Your entire argument is "well, if the system is in place, of course people are going to try and get the most of their rewards!", and cool, congratulations, but that's LITERALLY MISSING THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS /ROLE PLAYING/ VIDEO GAME. You're meant to tell a story and interact with others, not mindlessly spam redtexts on the timer that you have "gamed" to figure out exactly how it works to get the most out of your checks.
Not having /rpp is healthier for the game overall, it encourages people to actually roleplay and not just grind aimlessly towards getting the "you have qualified!" message, and it's never coming back.
It was a bad system that was abused and only mattered so people could see when they could STOP rping. That's it. That's the entire command. And people used it like it was a miracle drug that they couldn't get enough of, religiously, over and over again.
Stop bringing this up. I hate it. Keep /rpp dead and fucking buried. A few things, you missed my point, "missing the point" no it doesn't miss the point of playing the video game because this isn't a dichotomy, it's how people feel about the system that causes them to use it this way. I wish people would please read my previous statements so I don't have to repeat myself but alright. The Quota system, which once again, is still in place, what you described as an issue still occurs, all you did was change how it looked. Instead of /rpp you hit your check and then "non red text" for 3 hours.
So even if we say that is an issue, this doesn't fix it....My point was and has always been, /rpp or rp quota's doesn't mean you can't rp how you want, if anything it incentives you to emote your actions more often. The system can't make you feel forced to do anything, that's completely up to you.

yall crazy I agree with you, it's a QoL change, not a big deal, my problem with it is their reasoning as to why.

Congratulations, you've cracked the code. Using this infallible logic, no more people will ever be addicted to drugs, nobody will ever feel forced to drink, or anything like that! You did it!
The point is that it was CLEARLY being used to hit your check and then imemdiately afk. It didn't make it feel like a reward, it made you feel like you HAD to hit your check before X time, otherwise you were missing out. It turned this roleplaying game into a literal fucking job. Removing that and having it reward you for roleplaying is a much better incentive, an immediate gratification as opposed to "well, I get checked at 9 PM and it's 7 now, so if I redtext from now until then, I'll be able to get my check"...
As opposed to what is actually happening, now, where people RP, still to get their checks, but aren't actively plotting their RP schedules and scenes around it. Sure, maybe people are still getting their check and immediately resorting to shitpost/whitetext mode, but now it's not a literal timer that you're racing against in order to get your checks in. Now you can RP just to RP of your own volition and get them as you do it. Sure, people still game the system. But that's something we can never stop.
What we CAN stop is actually pushing the agenda that /rpp is a necessity to the game when, as COUNTLESS people have made it clear on these forums and in the discord since it's removal, that the gamestate feels better when you can just RP and worry about RPP as a secondary counter.
I'm sorry you disagree with me.
But it's not coming back.

But it's not coming back. That's a false equivalence, your equating drugs designed to hook people to a system to tell you if you hit a quota on emoting.... The point was to tell you if you hit your check or not, if you want intent for it, ask Chance or whoever put it in, they could tell you what they were intending when they designed it. By the way, once again, because I need to repeat myself, you can still do this, there's a 3 hour cd on hitting the next check, only difference is you don't know if you hit it or not if you don't hit it.
Have some person accountability "a job" again, that's completely up to you on how you feel about it. Also, please tell me where I said it was a necessity? I actually said the opposite if you bothered to read what I've said before...
That's the problem with your argument, it's based off of personal feeling, and the thing with feelings is everyone has them, but they don't mean the same thing to different people, you know what they say about opinions right? This isn't a war and it's not personal, I'm sorry if you do feel that way, but this is just an internet argument over a quality of life change within the game. I tried to keep this constructive, and nothing against you I mean this in general, but I can't control other people, nor would I want to.

Bring back /rpp, but make it so that you can only do it once a day.
I want to watch the cries and screams of anquish, and quench myself off people's tears.
